The 2012 Christian Challenge
Disciples of Jesus
John 14:23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.
My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

Disciples of Jesus are living proof that He is alive today. That is why they are hated so much.

"No matter how bad you are, He, the Lord Jesus Christ, can save You!"
My God given task is to: Mobilise His Church! Motivate His People! Help release God's Power in the lives of His People!
So that they can minister with confidence. The person who wins, is the person who is on the Lord's side.

Mike's Short Thought for Today
(Click on the date to hear my message)

August 2011

  •   01/08/2011  Sport and Entertainment go on with large following. Yet the World is in turmoil and self destructing.
  •   02/08/2011  Love! During August, I will be looking at love as described in Matthew 11:29-30 "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
  •   03/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: You need the Holy Spirit of God to give you the true meaning of these Verses in the Holy Bible.
  •   04/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: By Yoke our Lord Jesus means, His will and authority. To be yoked to Him, is to know that we are going in His direction, not ours or our Churches.
  •   05/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: What is it to take the yoke of Christ?
  •   05/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: Christ's yoke is easy. YET! So many Christians seem not to want it.
  •   08/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: Nominal Christianity is hard work, so why do so many Christian Leaders prefer it to being yoked to Jesus?
  •   09/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: We are yoked to Jesus by love. The Nominal Christian is yoked to their chosen "Christian" religion. That is why they are like they are. It's sad!
  •   10/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: His yoke allows us to live with perfect love and restraint. For only God truly knows what we need for both the good of Us and the good of the World we live in.  Only the Nominal Christian thinks otherwise.
  •  11/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: How do you know if a person is yoked to Jesus? Easy!!! They show it! You can't miss it! If they don't show it, then they aren't yoked!
  •   12/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: When you are yoked to Jesus, other people that you interact with, know it and react to it. With differing results.
  •   15/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: Why do true Disciples of Jesus yoke themselves to Him? It's easy! They have come to know His perfect love for them, weak and evil though they are. How can you not respond to God's perfect love? Well, a lot of people who call themselves "Christian" do not seem to want to.
  •   16/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: The Nominal Christians where I live want me to be yoked to them. Thus they say, "It don't matter what Church you join, just join one." However, I am already yoked to my Lord, so I cannot do what they require. For then, I would be as unsaved as them.
  •   17/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: Being yoked to Jesus is easy and it's very agreeable. It is good for Us, the Planet, the Kingdom of Christ. It's a win, win, win, win, situation. The losers are those who call themselves Christian, but are not yoked to Jesus. What a miserable life they must be leading as they conform to a Christian Religion that is no good to anybody. Least of all themselves.
  •   18/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: As a Disciple of Jesus, I get negative responses from some people when they find out that I love Jesus. As a member of Sagazone, a Social Website, I attend Meets with other Sagazoners. Some of whom behave badly towards me. Mind you, there are others who give me welcome hugs and warm smiles, accompanied with terrific banter. Being yoked to Jesus affects how I behave towards those who hate me.
  •   19/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: Us Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, are yoked to Him because we love Him. His reward for our love is His love. So! He first loved us and we loved Him back and His love is all we desire. Why? Because that is all we need. Those false Christians do not know His love, so they suffer in a way they do not know. To live without receiving Christ's love is indeed Hell.
  •   22/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: We are born with a Body, a Soul, and a Spirit. Hence the Christian terms: Lost Souls and Spiritually born again. Until we feel the perfect love of the Lord Jesus and respond by loving Him back, thus becoming Yoked to Him. Our Souls remain lost, our Spirits remain dead, and our Bodies live for the good of our Selfishness, not for the good of Ourselves, Others, the World, and God.
  •   23/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: If you are yoked to the Lord Jesus Christ, you will find that some who hate you, do so because they envy you your love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, even your certainty. All the things that result from being yoked to Christ. Don't hate them, rather feel sorry for them and help them to get what you have.
  •   24/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: If you become yoked to Jesus, never, ever, let anybody, yes anybody, come between you and Him. Why? Because He is both your Lord and Saviour. To become unyoked from Him is folly in the extreme.
  •   25/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: For the Nominal Christian, being yoked to the Lord Jesus is hard. That is, being a Christian is hard as they probably are not yoked to Jesus in the first place. They just do not show the love of Christ at all.
  •   26/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: When a Christian is not yoked to Jesus, they are probably yoked to the law of the Holy Bible. Therefore, their Christian religion is a perfect bondage. Whereas, to the Disciple who is yoked to his Lord Jesus it is a perfect freedom.
  •   30/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: There are those Christians who are that for selfish reasons. They read the Holy Bible or listen to the Preacher in Church. And consequently, when they hear these words of the Lord Jesus, they say, "Yes, I am yoked to Him!" But when you observe them, they find it hard to be yoked to Him. It is not their love in response to His love that yokes them, it's their fear of Hell or hope for Heavenly Rewards. OR, even their position of power in a Church because they say the right things to look good to their Followers.
  •   31/08/2011  Matthew 11:29-30 continued: This is the last thought on this wonderful teaching from the perfectly loving Lord Jesus Christ. Your Soul must be saved! And for it to be saved, YOU must be yoked to Jesus by both His perfect love and your imperfect love. If YOU are not yoked to Him as He requires YOU to be...... Then, sigh, YOUR Soul will be destroyed.  So do it now, open YOUR heart to the Holy Spirit of God and be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of this evil and wicked world you belong to. God bless you.
