will you let your Holy One see decay.
with
Acts 13:34 The fact that God raised him from the dead, never to decay,
is stated in these words: "`I will give you the holy and sure blessings
promised to David.' 35 So it is stated elsewhere: "`You will not let your

Isaiah 26:19 But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who
dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the
morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.

forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three

The efficacy of faith.
1 Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, our
preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found
to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised
Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not
raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised
either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are
still in your sins.

At first did not understand the predictions
respecting.
Mark 9:10 They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what
"rising from the dead" meant.
John 20:9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had
to rise from the dead.)
Very slow to believe.
Mark 16:13 These returned and reported it to the rest; but they
did not believe them either.
Luke 24:9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these
things to the Eleven and to all the others.
Luke 24:11 But they did not believe the women, because their words
seemed to them like nonsense.
Luke 24:37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a
ghost. 38 He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in
your minds?
Reproved for their unbelief.
Mark 16:14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating;
he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe

Two disciples.
Luke 24:13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village
called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each
other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these
things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but
they were kept from recognising him. 17 He asked them, "What are you
discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces
downcast. 18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor
to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these
days?" 19 "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of
Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed
before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him
over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that
he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third
day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They
went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn't find his body. They came and
told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then
some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said,
but him they did not see." 25 He said to them, "How foolish you are,
and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not
the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27 And
beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in
all the Scriptures concerning himself. 28 As they approached the village to
which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. 29 But they
urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is
almost over." So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at the table
with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31
Then their eyes were opened and they recognised him, and he disappeared from
their sight.
Apostles except Thomas.
John 20:19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the
disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came
and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 20 After he said
this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they
saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has
sent me, I am sending you." 22 And with that he breathed on them and said,
"Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone his sins, they are
forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." 24 Now Thomas
(called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.

apostles,
All the Apostles.
Luke 24:51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken
up into heaven.

apostles,

1 Corinthians 15:8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to

Matthew 27:63 "Sir," they said, "we remember that
while he was still alive that deceiver said, `After three days I will rise
again.' 64 So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day.
Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he
has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the
first." 65 "Take a guard," Pilate answered. "Go, make the
tomb as secure as you know how." 66 So they went and made the tomb secure
by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
He gave many infallible proofs of.
Luke 24:35 Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how
Jesus was recognised by them when he broke the bread. 36 While they were still
talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace
be with you." 37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a
ghost. 38 He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in
your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a
ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." 40 When he had
said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not
believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have
anything here to eat?" 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he
took it and ate it in their presence.
John 20:20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The
disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said,
"Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." 22
And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If
you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they
are not forgiven." 24 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was
not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him,
"We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the
nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand
into his side, I will not believe it." 26 A week later his disciples were
in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked,
Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27 Then
he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand
and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
Acts 1:3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave
many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of
forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

Angels.
Matthew 28:5 The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid,
for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here;
he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go
quickly and tell his disciples: `He has risen from the dead and is going ahead
of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
Luke 24:4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in
clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the
women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them,
"Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has
risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 `The
Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on
the third day be raised again.'"
Luke 24:23 but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they
had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.

dead. We are witnesses of this.
Acts 4:33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.
His enemies.
Matthew 28:11 While the women were on their way, some of the
guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had
happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan,
they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, "You are to
say, `His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were
asleep.' 14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep
you out of trouble." 15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were
instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this
very day.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,

Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised

"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom
you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 When the people heard this, they
were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers,
what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptised, every
one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And
you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your
children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will
call." 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them,
"Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."
