Influences on our Life and Behaviour.
There are several reasons why Christians behave the way they do.
1) Their conditioning by parents.
2) Their culture.
3) Their childhood memories of hurts, and sinful responses to them.
4) Their granting the devil freedom to interfere in their life.
Romans 7:4.
So, my brothers,
you also died to the law through the body of Christ,
that you might belong to another,
to him who was raised from the dead,
in order that we might bear fruit to God.
(Union with Christ frees from Bondage of the Law)

Devil
Luke 14:33
James 4:7
In the same way any of you
who does not give up everything
he has cannot be my disciple. |
Submit yourself to God.
Resist the Devil and he will
flee from you. |
Child (Flesh)
Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus
have crucified the sinful nature
with its passions and desires.
Sanctification leads us to only one result: DEATH and RESURRECTION. If
we try to listen to, and obey, the Holy Spirit, then these other voices of
parent, culture, child and the devil, will also be heard. Thus influencing our
decisions and our behaviour regarding the will of God for our lives.
Freedom to do the will of God comes from obeying the Holy Spirits
voice. Through love and humble submission toward our powerful Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ.
Our mind must be continually renewed (in the Spirit), until we can say
with Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but
Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
