01/09/2011 During August I spoke about a
"Christian" having to be yoked to the Lord Jesus in
order to be a true "Disciple" of His. During September,
I will be thinking about what stops them from being one.
Preaching as to convert nobody.

02/09/2011 Preaching in order to satisfy your
selfishness or the listeners selfishness, will convert
nobody!

03/09/2011 Preaching in order to be popular.

04/09/2011 Have given up on this topic and
going back to the thoughts of a Disciple of Jesus. Do
you go to Church? If so, how do you feel about it first
thing Sunday morning, or perhaps Saturday night?

05/09/2011 Learning what the Lord Jesus
teaches is worthless if you don't put that learning into
practice. Life-Long-Learning is what we all do as we
live out our lives. Some Christians do it better than
others, for some stop learning and just obey the
recognized dogma of their particular "Christian"
religion.

06/09/2011 Matthew 10:38 The
Lord Jesus said, "anyone who does not take
his cross and follow me is not worthy of
me." As we carry our own cross for Jesus, we
show that we are truly His Disciple. No matter what
happens to us as we carry it, the lost and the saved do
see Jesus in us.

video about
Alistair Urquart who did not have a good war. If at
the end, you find yourself angry at God for allowing
these things to happen. Remember, it was humans who did
it!

08/09/2011 A company used an image of the Lord
Jesus Christ in a funny advert. 98 people complained and
the complaint was upheld. The company apologised for
what was an error of judgment.

09/09/2011 In Paul's Letter to the Galatians,
clearly, the new converts to Christianity heard the
Gospel and believed in it. Thus they were filled with
the Holy Spirit of God and did wonderful things that
promoted their Lord Jesus. But then some went back to
making obedience to the law the main action, not living
by faith. So many Christians today are seeking to obey
the Holy Bible and Church Life, but when observed, they
are not filled with the Holy Spirit. Now why is that?
And why is it, that when I minister to them about the
Gospel and the Kingdom of God, they hide from me? Is it
because they do not love Jesus? I often wonder.

19/09/2011 Your Personal Religion? How did you
come to follow it? When your life enters a difficult
period, does it help you? Does it have the right
answers? If any of your answers leave you in doubt, then
give the Lord Jesus a chance. Read about
His Gospel today.

20/09/2011 Friendship! If you are a Christian,
how many other Christians do you meet who are not
friendly towards you? How many are you not friendly
towards?

21/09/2011 Popularity? Many Entertainers in
the Music Industry are amazing good and very popular,
some over many years. The Shadows, Cliff Richard, and
The Everly Brothers are good examples of this. The Lord
Jesus is also very good, though in a different way.
However, He may be seen as less popular than these
Entertainers.

displaying Bible Texts in his Cafe.

27/09/2011 When I die, some people will
remember me, others may not. But for me, thanks be to my
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I will be living for
eternity in His Fathers House. (John 14:2) Not on merit,
but because I love Jesus. To Him be all the glory!

28/09/2011 A chance meeting of two very
different Christians in St Nicholas Church, Newport,
Shropshire. The Bench is in memory of the Rev Rod
Biddle, an old Friend from our days in Mountsorrel,
Leicestershire. We both attended Christ Church CofE.
I went to place some flowers and a card on the
bench. |

Google Search Engine and up comes a webpage with their
photo and some text about them. But it does not show you
how they feel, what they think or what they are doing
that day. For that, you have to meet them. Here is a
