Union with Christ.
Christ prayed that all His disciples might have
union with Him.
Jn 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in
me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that
you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may
be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to
complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even
as you have loved me.

The Glory of Christ.
His Oneness with God, His Father.
Jn 10:30 I and the Father are one."
Jn 10:38 But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe
the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I
in the Father."
Jn 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the
Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the
Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
Jn 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in
the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of

Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah will join the house of
Israel, and together they will come from a northern land to the land I gave your
forefathers as an inheritance.

who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.

Jn 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 Jn 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we
should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world
does not know us is that it did not know him.

rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in

Perfection.
The Duty of Striving After.
Ge 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to
him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.

1 Ki 8:61 But your hearts must be fully committed to the LORD our God,
to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time."
Mt 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
2 Co 13:11 Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to
my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be
with you.
Eph 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of
the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness
of Christ.
Php 3:15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things.
And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
Eph 3:18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how
wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

A Glorious Mystery.

The Inseparable Christ.

No Power can Separate.
Ro 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither

2 Ch 20:20 Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa.

have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."

Conversion of the Gentiles.

astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the

Gentiles also had received the word of God.

word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

"Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the

Our being in Christ.
2 Co 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught
up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not
know - God knows.

Ac 14:19 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the
crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was
dead. 20 But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went
back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
Ac 14:6 But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities
of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country,
Ac 16:1 He came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named
Titus lived, whose mother was a Jewess and a believer, but whose father was a
Greek.
2 Ti 3:11 persecutions, sufferings - what kinds of things happened to
me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord
rescued me from all of them.

Methods of Revelation:
Visions.
Ge 15:1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a
vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.
"
Ge 46:2 And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said,
"Jacob! Jacob!" "Here I am," he replied.
Eze 37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by
the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of
bones.
Ac 9:10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord
called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he
answered.
Ac 10:3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He
distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!"
Ac 10:11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being
let down to earth by its four corners.
Ac 16:9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia
standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."

Heaven.
Dwelling Place of God.
Dt 26:15 Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and
bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath
to our forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey."
1 Ki 8:30 Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people
Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place,
and when you hear, forgive.
2 Ch 30:27 The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and
God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.
Job 22:12 "Is not God in the heights of heaven? And see how lofty

us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is
true - even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
A Divine Name.
Mt 2:15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was
fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I
called my son."
Mt 3:17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I
love; with him I am well pleased."
Mt 8:29 "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they
shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"
Mt 14:33 Then those who were in the boat worshipped him, saying,
"Truly you are the Son of God."
Mt 17:5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them,
and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I

Obedience the Condition of Receiving.
Jn 7:16 Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes
from him who sent me.
Jn 7:17 If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether
my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.

Conditions of Receiving:
Renunciation of the World.
Lk 18:28 Peter said to him, "We have left all we had to
follow you!"

"no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for
the sake of the kingdom of God
Lk 18:30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in
the age to come, eternal life."
Faith in Christ.
Jn 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the
Son of Man must be lifted up,
Jn 3:15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.
Jn 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever
rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
Jn 4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to
eternal life."
Spiritual Service.
Jn 4:35 Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I

Self-sacrifice.
Jn 12:25 The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man
who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Jn 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only
true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Sowing to the Spirit.
Gal 6:8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that
nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the
Spirit will reap eternal life.

Christ the Truth.
Jn 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We
have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father,
full of grace and truth.
Jn 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jn 18:37 "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus
answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I
was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone

God of Truth.
Dt 32:4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways
are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.

and you have promised these good things to your servant.
Ps 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in
all he does.
Ps 146:6 the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in
them - the LORD, who remains faithful forever.
Isa 65:16 Whoever invokes a blessing in the land will do so by the God
of truth; he who takes an oath in the land will swear by the God of truth. For
the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.
Ro 3:4 Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is
written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when
you judge."
Tit 1:2 a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life,
which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,
Heb 6:18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it
is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered
to us may be greatly encouraged.

Includes union with the Father.
Jn 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in
me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that
you have sent me.
1 Jn 2:24 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in
you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

Dt 6:6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon
your hearts.

symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

your heart so you may obey it.

Redemption.
Through Christ.
Ro 3:24 and are justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a

Sanctification.
How Secured.
Jn 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might
become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
1 Co 1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has

redemption.
Eph 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water
through the word,
2 Ti 2:21 If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an

do any good work.
Heb 10:10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the
sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
