guilt.

you that I am not like other men - robbers, evildoers, adulterers - or even like
this tax collector.
Jn 9:41 Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty

you.
Rev 3:17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a
thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and
naked.

Sinful Mind.
Ro 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you,
because your faith is being reported all over the world.
Ro 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's
law, nor can it do so.
Eph 4:17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you
must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
Col 1:21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your
minds because of your evil behaviour.
Col 2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the
worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great
detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle
notions.
Tit 1:15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are
corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and
consciences are corrupted.

Causes of Spiritual Loss.
Sin.
Jer 5:25 Your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have
deprived you of good.

yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Worldliness.
Mk 8:36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet
forfeit his soul?
False Foundation.
Lk 6:49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into
practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The
moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was
complete."
Prodigality.
Lk 15:13 "Not long after that, the younger son got together
all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in

Imperfect Service.
1 Co 3:13 his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day
will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test
the quality of each man's work.
1 Co 3:15 If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be
saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

The Work of Deceivers.
Ro 16:18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but
their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive
people.
2 Co 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen,
masquerading as apostles of Christ.
Eph 4:14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by
the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning
and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
2 Ti 3:13 while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse,
deceiving and being deceived.
Tit 1:10 For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and
deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group.
2 Jn 1:7 Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming
in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and
the antichrist.
Rev 18:23 The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice
of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again. Your merchants were
the world's great men. By your magic spell all the nations were led astray.
Col 2:19 He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole
body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God
causes it to grow.

Is indissoluble.
* Ro 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble
or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the
knowledge of him.
2 Co 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
Over Worldly Enticements.
1 Jn 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the
victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
Over All Satanic Powers.
Rev 15:2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire
and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and
his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God

Afflictions and Tribulation are a Part of
Earthly Experience.
Dt 4:30 When you are in distress and all these things have
happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and
obey him.
Mt 24:21 For then there will be great distress, unequalled from the
beginning of the world until now - and never to be equalled again.
Jn 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may
have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome
the world."
Ac 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain
true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom
of God," they said.
Ro 5:3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we
know that suffering produces perseverance;
1 Th 3:4 In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we
would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.
Rev 2:9 I know your afflictions and your poverty - yet you are rich! I
know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue
of Satan.

"These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have
washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

from those who pursue me.

persecute me without cause.

from your statutes.

I suffer reproach for your sake.
Lamentations 5:5 Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary
and find no rest.

The Inseperable
Christ.
Believers
Constantly:
Accompanied by his
Presence.
Mt 28:20 and teaching them to
obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the
very end of the age."
Held Close by His
Hand.
Jn 10:28 I give them eternal
life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.
Like Branches in
the Vine.
Jn 15:4 Remain in me, and I
will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the
vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
In Perpetual
Fellowship.
Jn 17:23 I in them and you in
me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me
and have loved them even as you have loved me.
No Power can
Separate.
Ro 8:38 For I am convinced that
neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the
future, nor any powers,
Ro 8:39 neither height nor depth, nor anything
else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
