Christ, the True Vine.
Foundation and Building.
1 Co 3:10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an
expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be
careful how he builds. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one
already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Union with Christ the answer to problems:

On partisanship in the Church.
On unity in Service.
On different Kinds of Service.

Body and Members.
1 Co 12:12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts;
and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

The Unity of Believers as Members of Christ's
Body.
1 Co 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is
a part of it.
Eph 5:30 for we are members of his body.

Husband and Wife.
* Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the
church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the
washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a
radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and
blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own
bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his
own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church - 30 for
we are members of his body. 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father
and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
32 This is a profound mystery - but I am talking about Christ and the church.

Solemn Obligation ofMarriage.
Ge 2:24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and
be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Mt 5:32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for
marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who
marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
Mk 10:7 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife,
Mk 10:9 Therefore what God has joined together, let man not
separate."
Ro 7:2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as
long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of
marriage.
1 Co 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A
wife must not separate from her husband.
1 Co 7:11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be
reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

Duty of Husbands.
Ge 2:23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh
of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."
Ge 2:24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Dt 24:5 If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or
have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home
and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
Pr 5:18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife
of your youth.
Ecc 9:9 Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this
meaningless life that God has given you under the sun - all your meaningless
days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labour under the sun.
Mk 10:7 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be
united to his wife,
1 Co 7:11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be
reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church
and gave himself up for her
1 Pe 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with
your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with
you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Duty of Wives.
Est 1:20 Then when the king's edict is proclaimed throughout all
his vast realm, all the women will respect their husbands, from the least to the
greatest."
Pr 31:27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not
eat the bread of idleness.
1 Co 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A
wife must not separate from her husband.
Eph 5:22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
Col 3:18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
1 Ti 3:11 In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of
respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
Tit 2:4 Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands
and children,
1 Pe 3:1 Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so
that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words
by the behaviour of their wives,

like only a few days to him because of his love for her.

other women, and she won his favour and approval more than any of the other
virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of
Vashti.
Pr 5:19 A loving doe, a graceful deer - may her breasts satisfy you
always, may you ever be captivated by her love.
